My name is Destiny York and I earned my Bachelors of Science Degree at Mississippi College in Psychology and continued to earn my Masters of Science degree at Walden University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Mississippi. I have worked in Mental Health Services for six years primarily focused on justice involved individuals and substance abuse.
As the wife of a college football coach, I enjoy spending my time supporting his career and being a mother staying busy with their activities. For my self-care, I enjoy to escape with my husband, when possible, for date nights with good food along with getting tattoos and traveling when possible. I am passionate about helping others so I take pleasure in finding opportunities as much as I can to increase my knowledge and skill set to help others along their journey.
The Heartbeat of Thrive Recovery
We seek to provide clinical resources through Tele-mentalhealth to justice involved individuals primarily in rural areas with limited access to transportation and/or local treatment locations. We are overcoming these barriers through memorandums of understanding with court systems, justice departments, and other government entities servicing their local communities. If the level of care recommended upon completion of clinical assessment is not available through Thrive Recovery, we are happy to support in offering referrals.
